John 19

24 So they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it shall be.” This happened to fulfill the Scripture which says: “They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.

24 The soldiers said to one another, "Let's not tear it; let's throw dice to see who will get it." This happened in order to make the scripture come true: "They divided my clothes among themselves and gambled for my robe." And this is what the soldiers did.

24 So they said to one another, "Let's not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it will be," in order that the passage of scripture might be fulfilled [that says]:"They divided my garments among them, and for my vesture they cast lots." This is what the soldiers did.

24 they said, therefore, to one another, ‘We may not rend it, but cast a lot for it, whose it shall be;’ that the Writing might be fulfilled, that is saying, ‘They divided my garments to themselves, and upon my raiment they did cast a lot;’ the soldiers, therefore, indeed, did these things.

24 So the soldiers said to each other, “We should not tear this into parts. We should throw lots to see who will get it.” This happened to give full meaning to the Scripture: “They divided my clothes among them. And they threw lots for my clothing.” So the soldiers did this.
